Where Pennypact opens, and with which payment apps

Pennypact is pre-launch. The waitlist is worldwide; India, Canada and the United States open first, one at a time, as each is ready. Every country and payment app below carries an honest word. Nothing is Available yet.

What the words mean

Available
You can use it today.
Planned
Reviewed and being built for launch. No date is promised.
Researching
We're looking into it. It may not happen.
Not offered
We won't prepare a request for it. You can still pay that way and mark it as sent.

First wave

India, Canada and the United States

Each country opens on its own, once its payment apps, wording, legal review and support are ready. Being on this list doesn't set a date.

Cash and "some other way" work everywhere: the payer marks it sent, the other person confirms, and the record shows both. We never prepare a request for an app that gives no supported way to do so.

On the research list

Where we're looking next

In the order we'll look, not the order they'll open. The app formats money the local way already; what takes time is reviewing each payment app's official flow, its terms and the legal ground.

Brazil

Researching

Pix works around the clock and a valid code can carry the recipient and the amount. When the payment app is this good, a split app's only job is to prepare the request properly.

Brazil is on our research list, not in the first wave. The formatting is already right, though: R$ 1.260,00, not $1,260.00.

Europe

Researching

Spain reaches for Bizum, Sweden for Swish, Switzerland for TWINT; most of the rest paste an IBAN. The European Payments Council even published a code format for this.

Europe is on our research list, country by country. None is in the first wave.

Languages, money and dates

The interface is in English to start. Money, dates and numbers already follow local habits everywhere the currency is supported: ₹16,800.00 in Bengaluru, R$ 1.260,00 in São Paulo, 700,00 € in Berlin. More languages follow the countries that open.
